This sweet family gets the award for four gorgeous daughters who were complete troopers with a really cold session. Look at all of that beautiful long hair! I loved working with and getting to know this sweet family. I also wanted to give a few tips for winter sessions whether you’re a fellow photographer or a client going to be photographed these will help your session go smoothly when it’s below freezing and the wind picks up.
- Hot Hands; not just for winter sports, for winter sessions as well! Open them for your clients on the way to the location so they can begin to activate.
- Take advantage of areas that will block the wind from clients, this tunnel of trees helps to keep clients warmer by blocking the wind.
- Keep the heater in the car going at maximum capacity so that clients can jump back into the car in between sets to reheat themselves.
