Bartschi Family

This sweet family gets the award for four gorgeous daughters who were complete troopers with a really cold session. Look at all of that beautiful long hair! I loved working with and getting to know this sweet family. I also wanted to give a few tips for winter sessions whether you’re a fellow photographer or a client going to be photographed these will help your session go smoothly when it’s below freezing and the wind picks up.

  1. Hot Hands; not just for winter sports, for winter sessions as well! Open them for your clients on the way to the location so they can begin to activate.
  2. Take advantage of areas that will block the wind from clients, this tunnel of trees helps to keep clients warmer by blocking the wind.
  3. Keep the heater in the car going at maximum capacity so that clients can jump back into the car in between sets to reheat themselves.
