Capturing the Schaffarzick Family’s Extended Fall Session

Finishing up and delivering this stunning fall family session today! This was the session I needed to remind me how much I love getting to do this as a job 🥰 Wonderful Families, beautiful settings, watching the families talk, laugh, and enjoy one another. Seeing the look on grandparents faces as they enjoy watching their grandchildren run through the fall leaves. It’s the best!

For this session, I chose my trusty 24-70mm f/2.8 lens. I’ve been reaching for this lens more and more. Its versatility allows me to create beautiful bokeh for portraits while also capturing the breathtaking surroundings in wide-angle shots. What made this session truly memorable was the Schaffarzick family themselves. Their warmth and the deep bonds they share are evident in every photograph. It’s moments like these that reinforce why I’m passionate about photography.

Your family photos should tell your story, celebrate your connections, and preserve this moment for the future. I absolutely love shooting family sessions because it’s a magical blend of artistry, story telling, and personal connection. My photography style is a harmonious blend of traditional posed portraiture and candid, emotive images. I find that there’s a certain magic in the balance of both styles – the timeless elegance of posed portraits and the genuine emotions captured in candid moments.
